Lupe Fiasco joins in on the 4th of July celebrations by releasing a music video entitled #1234.
This 13-minute music video is for his three tracks Lamborghini Angels, ITAL (Roses), & Audubon Ballroom from last year’s Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt 1′.
The video draws it’s impact through minimalistic and in-your-face symbolism, children are seen watching television as images of guns, drugs, and fast food flash across the screen. Lupe touches on social, political, and racial issues.
Directed by Alex Nazari, make sure to watch it all the way through for a surprise cameo at the end!
What are your thoughts on this unconventional, thought-provoking piece?
