Dr. Dre has signed on to perform in Apple’s first original series titled Vital Signs. The series is being promoted as a semi-autobiographical drama following Dre’s character, as he deals with a “different emotion” across six episodes.
No stranger to the screen, the influential hip hop producer, entrepreneur and music veteran will no doubt make sure the series is a huge success and it probably won’t take much as most of what the doctor touches does soon turn to gold.
Remember him in Training Day with Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke?
Prolific music video director Paul Hunter has been asked to direct the debut season, which is being funded by tech giant Apple. Actors Sam Rockwell and Mo McCrae are also said to be among the actors involved.
The entire first season of Vital Signs will be released all at once, though a release date is currently a mystery.
