The Weeknd Releases ‘Rolling Stone’ Video

Canadian singer-producer and all-around online darling The Weeknd has released the minimalist music video for his track Rolling Stone. The reclusive yet prolific artist first made his mark by releasing three consecutive projects in a row last year.

Now he is bringing together all three releases into one handy little package, simply titled  Trilogy, which is out on November 12. The package will include three new songs plus all of the original material, clocking in at 30 tracks in total.

Real name Abel Tesfaye, the Toronto native has written an open letter to his fans on his website to accompany the new video and release announcement. “Because I am a man of few words, I chose to make a viral video to show you how I felt and where I stand. I usually don’t like to ‘spoon feed’ my audience because I grew up idolising story tellers who tell stories using symbolism, so it was in my nature to do the same.”

He also hinted that there could be some material in the lead up to Trilogy’s release. “Expect more from me soon leading up to ‘Trilogy’. Thank you again for your patience and loyalty, I will not disappoint.”
