Rakim has thankfully updated hip hop heads on the status of his next record, which will be his fifth solo outing and ninth overall. Rakim believes the new album will scale things back a bit, while taking his time to assemble the production and sound behind the tracks.
The legendary MC spoke to the MONTREALITY crew recently about his music and the wave of new MCs including Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole. Ra also spoke about the youth and assures us all that he’s still as sharp as ever.
