Nas has taken action after hearing of a Washington DC family who lost their home and decided to step in to help their situation.
Stanley Young, an unemployed construction worker in the US capital, lost his apartment above a grocery store after a fire. Young and his family are currently living in a hotel. So, in support, the hip hop legend has launched a crowd-funding campaign on CrowdTilt.com, where he’s urging his fanbase and peers to chip in to help.
“I was moved by the sad story of Stanley Young – father of seven, now homeless. Help me give his family a miracle,” Nas tweeted (@Nas) Thursday (August 8), along with a link to the crowd-funding website.
Nas has set a target of $50,000 for the family, and as of press time, has racked up over $28,000… with himself as the first contributor with a donation of $5,000.
