After an incredible year, which saw their self-produced debut  album Tawk Tomahawk receive mass acclaim across the music world, eclectic four-piece Melbourne band Hiatus Kaiyote will be hitting the road before going in to hibernation over summer.

Formed in mid 2011, the four core members of Hiatus Kaiyote are chief songwriter Nai Palm, Simon Mavin on keys, Paul Bender on laptop, bass and guitar, and Perrin Moss on drums.

One of their most vocal supporters has been Ahmir ‘?uestlove‘ Thompson of The Roots, who took to social media to profess his love. ”Oh. my. gawd. this. is. DOOOOOOOOOOOPE,” he exclaimed. “Once in a blue moon something moves me so much I’m willing to alienate friends when an UNDENIABLE project comes along. THIS is that project.”

Starting November 9, they will be travelling to Melbourne, Adelaide, NSW and Brisbane for some intimate gigs. Tickets go on sale Wednesday October 3.

Tour dates:
Friday 9th November – The Hi Fi – Melbourne – with special guests Sex On Toast, Ngairre, Kirkis, Silent Jay & DJ Edd Fisher

Saturday 17th November – Rocket Bar – Adelaide with special guests Amin Payne, Silent Jay, Oisima plus DJs Jackson Miles (Melb) & Slim Charles.

Thursday 22nd November – FBI Social – Sydney – with special guests

Friday 23rd November – Gearins Hotel – Katoomba – with special guests

Friday 30th November – Mother Popcorn at Coniston Lane – Brisbane with Bankrupt Billionaires and special guests
