DJ A1 pays tribute to the late great J Dilla by reworking three classic beats from the Detroit producer ((Baby, Players and My People Hold On). For the J Dilla House Breaks Collection, A1 has composed three house tracks, drawing the links between Detroit’s electronic dance music scene and Dilla’s soulful yet gritty sound.
You can also check out a great tribute video below, featuring a group of Sydney musicians talking about their first time listening to J Dilla, leading up to a show aimed to raise money for the J Dilla Foundation.
