# Wiz Khalifa Gets His Own Day

**Wiz Khalifa** put his city on the hip hop map and had everyone singing the hook to ***Black and Yellow***. Now the rapper-weed advocate has been recognised for his work by the Pittsburgh City Council.

Named an ambassador for his hometown, December 12, 2012 was officially declared **Wiz Khalifa Day**. Celebrating the release of his second album ***O.N.I.F.C***, which currently sits at #2 on the Billboard Albums chart, he performed for his hometown fans later that day.
