# Pharrell Discusses Places and Spaces With Hot 97

In an in depth 42-minute interview with Hot 97‘s *Juan Epstein Show*, **Pharrell** chatted with **Peter Rosenberg**about his coffee-table book *Places and Spaces I’ve Been*, his stylistic choices as a musician and his influences.

He touches on the experience of rapping on his *In My Mind (The Prequel)* mixtape hosted by **DJ Drama** – a project that finds Pharrell going all the way in on the mic. He also discusses his friendship with **Tyler, The Creator**, the rise of Star Trak‘s popularity in the early 2000′s, **N.E.R.D.**, the BBC clothing line and the continued evolution of his character.
