Bobby Womack to Tour Australia for Vivid Live

There are a few things which make Sydney a truly unique city. One of them includes the picturesque beaches, the other includes the iconic landmarks, and the third includes the ridiculous rent and drink prices. All jokes aside, there are a probably many of reasons why Sydney has been awarded a spot in EUI’s Most Liveable Cities, but the one sure thing that Sydney ‘has’ which no other city  ’has got’ is the Vivid Festival.

The Vivid Festival is a winter festival which literally colours the city of Sydney with lights, music, and ideas for two weeks starting on the 24th of May. 2013 marks the second year Fergus Linehan has curated the contemporary music  sector and for this year he has outdone himself by bringing together an eclectic bunch of musicians ranging from Kraftwerk to Karl Hyde from Underworld to Empire of the Sun. The unspoken hero of the line up and the one that Stash are marking as a do not miss event is the return of the legendary Bobby Womack to Australian shores in his first ever live and solo show.

Now, I could probably go into the history of  Rock n Roll Hall of Fame inductee Bobby Womack but the chances are you already know who he is, but what I would like emphasize that this is his first ever headline Australian show.

Tickets are available now via Vivid website and Art Centre Melbourne for you cats living out of town.

Tuesday 21st May – Hamer Hall – Melbourne
Friday 24th May – Vivid Live – Sydney Opera House
Saturday 25th May – Vivid Live – Sydney Opera House
