# Kanye West, 2 Chainz and Drake Leading BET Award Nominations

 The nominations for the upcoming BET Awards, which airs on October 7, have been announced and they are dominated by three particular rappers.

G.O.O.D. Music comrades **Kanye West** and **2 Chainz**, who are fresh from the release of the *Cruel Summer* album, are joined by **Drake** in the leading position, with a combined 20 nominations.

The possible future Mr. Kardashian is all over the categories, including Best Hip Hop Video’ for *Mercy*, Best Live Performer, Lyricist of the Year, Producer of the Year and MVP of the Year.

It’s been a hell of a year for 2 Chainz who is up for over a dozen awards, including Best Hip Hop Video and Track of the Year for *No Lie* with Drake and MVP of the Year. Ironically he is also up for Rookie of the Year despite being in the game for over a decade now.

Meanwhile, Drake is nominated for Best Hip Hop Video category for *HYFR* with Lil Wayne, Best Club Banger and CD of the Year.
