# Akon Returns with Five-Part Album – ‘Stadium’

Seven years have past since Akon dropped an album, but fans will be happy to know that he’s back in the lab and working on a project entitled *Stadium*.

It will be five-part concept album that we will see later in 2015. He made the announcement a few weeks back via Twitter, writing: “Thru out this long wait, there has been fans who stuck with me. This Album is for you! 5 Albums 5 genres equaling STADIUM.”

Each part of the album will be rooted from a different musical genre. His [website](http://www.akon.com/) is currently streaming one single from each disc: the dance-ready *Better*featuring Niko the Kid from *Stadium: Euro;*the ballad *To Each His Own*from *Stadium: Pop*; the hip hop influenced *Whole Lot*from *Stadium: Urban*; the dubby love ode *Just a Man* featuring Stephen Marley from *Stadium: Island;*and the heavily percussive *Feeling a Nikka* featuring D’Banje from *Stadium: World*.

Despite the hiatus from his solo work, he had an active year of cameos in 2014, appearing on tracks by Jeezy, Chris Brown and Wizkid.

   A release date for his upcoming album has not been mentioned.
