Cee-Lo Speaks On New Gnarls Barkley & Goodie Mob Projects

It has been five-years since Cee-Lo and Danger Mouse released their critically heralded The Odd Couple, however Green has some good news. The more vocal half of Gnarls Barkley and Voice judge insists that the duo will release another project in the future once he pulls his partner Danger Mouse into the studio.

“I got to get Danger Mouse out of the house,” Cee-Lo said, moments before performing at Harrah’s Pool nightclub in Atlantic City, New Jersey. “My man is almost completely detached, and that’s not an insult, I actually admire it. We have a great balance. I’m more forward and out-in-front, but he’s definitely got my back.”

Cee-Lo is also excited about another major musical reunion with the Goodie Mob faction with which he first made his name in the mid ’90s. He says the ATL collective’s long-gestating album, Age Against the Machine, will reach fans ears soon.

“You’ll be hearing new Goodie Mob this year, no doubt about it,” says a visibly slimmer Cee-Lo, who’s been dieting. “I’m talking about Public Enemy on acid, the new Black psychedelic experience.”

CeeLo Green Is Loberace, Cee-Lo’s long-awaited residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, is scheduled to kick off on February 28.
