After two years of hard work Jack Davey, frontwoman for the electro-soul duo J*Davey, has released her debut solo project L0-F! (Side A).
The first of three releases, Side A is a five-track journey into the psyche of a songwriter entering a brand new chapter in her life. “I was hearing a raw and gritty rock sound in my head and knew that I would have to create it myself in order to get exactly what I was imagining.”
Along with lead single Howl At The Moon, the EP features songs such as Eye Can See and Tinted Windows, which both utilize racing drum machine heartbeats and fuzzy guitar. Then there’s the methodical The Only Lonely One and the seductive Ride On. All five tracks are coated with Davey’s relentlessly sultry vocals.
